Senior frontend developer in Schibsted’s shared services team, supporting a core CMS used daily by journalists across multiple newsrooms. I joined during a frontend migration from Backbone.js to React. A large and complex application with many contributors, requiring strong development skills and architectural thinking. We introduced extension APIs for wider integration and embedded AI tools into journalist workflows. Testing and stability were key, with a strong focus on maintainability and performance.
Full stack developer of property leasing platform. A solo side project which then turned into a pre-seed funded journey. I personally startegised, designed and built the UX, web-app, and infrastructure.
Frontend developer for growing series A funded london based start-up SuperCarers. SuperCarers provide an introductory service for carers and those in need of care, allowing them to connect safely and efficiently. A team of around 40, comprising tech, sales, and services. My role included frontend api driven development. The application was large and required high level development skills to tackle every problem. Testing was essential and we used a combination of (integration, unit, typing) tests to lessen bugs and ensure smooth stable releases.
A project in which I lead the frontend developer while working at Mobile 5 (now HYD Agency). Renault wanted to convey the environmental and business benefits that could be leveraged if companies chose to switch their petrol/diesel fleets to the new Renault Z.E Fleet range. Using react and D3.js the frontend beautiful and innitively render data sets and tools to manipulative these sets. It was a fun and challenging project.
Popeye Collective - collective founded by artist and co-founder of shift.ms, Freddie Yauner. Freddie invited me to take part in the Popeye Collective conversations. Popeye Collective creates conversations over food, as a catalyst for new culture inspired by Plant-based food systems. I took part in these conversations and used my tech background to help drive a web presence for Popeye Collective.
Shift.ms is a social network for people with multiple sclerosis, with a growing 38000 members. Shift.ms hired me to lead the frontend for their 4th rebuild. The rebuild was needed in order to scale and lay the foundations for further feature add-ons. After a successful 3 month SCRUM managed rebuild, a series of additional projects were planned and delivered: Thought Sort - a CBT tool, MS Reporters - a citizen journalism video platform, and finally MS Stories - an interactive storytelling platform. At shift.ms we built amazing tools competently, efficiently, and with clear objectives and goals.
